I founded Maven in 2019 because I kept seeing the same problem: organizations investing in leadership development that didn't stick. A retreat here, a workshop there, a consultant who showed up, delivered, and disappeared. The content was often good. The change rarely followed.
Maven is built on a different premise. The work has to be immersive, relational, and sustained. Leaders need to practice in real conditions, with real stakes, alongside the people they actually lead.

My work sits at the intersection of strategy and organizational humanity. I work with senior leaders, full executive teams, and leadership communities across values-driven organizations, Jewish communal institutions, and women's leadership spaces.
I work collaboratively and candidly. I bring strategic rigor and genuine empathy into every engagement, and I am not interested in telling leaders what they want to hear.
The hardest leadership moments are rarely about right versus wrong. They are about navigating the tension when two things are both true and pulling in different directions. That framework shapes how I coach, how I design retreats, and how I advise organizations navigating complexity.

Heather Wolfson is the Founder, CEO, and Lead Strategist of Maven Leadership Consulting, a boutique leadership and organizational development practice she founded in 2019. Her work focuses on helping senior leaders and full leadership teams navigate complexity, strengthen culture, and lead with greater clarity and intention.
Heather brings nearly two decades of senior leadership experience, including roles as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Program Officer across local and international organizations. Active in community leadership, she serves in multiple nonprofit and board roles and is deeply engaged in building the next generation of leaders.
She lives in San Diego with her husband, two sons, and two dogs.
